Max Mollenkamp, a native of Jefferson City, Missouri, is graduating in May with his bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, Max has studied trombone with Professor Steve Menard and performed with the Symphonic Band, athletic bands, jazz lab bands, trombone choirs, and various chamber ensembles. In addition to trombone, he has studied voice and performed with West End Vocal Jazz and the University Singers.
Max has taught several DFW-area marching bands including Marcus HS, Vines HS, Liberty HS, and Ryan HS. He also served as lead field tech with the North Texas Green Brigade Marching Band. Additionally, he worked at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, where he taught trombone sectionals and performed with Staff and Festival ensembles.
Max performed with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps for three summers—two on euphonium and one on mellophone.
