Ben Adams is completing his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music (expected graduation Spring 2020), where he is studying saxophone with Dan Gelok and composition with Dr. David Ashley White.
As a performer, Adams marched two summers with The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps from Rosemont, IL (2014-2015). In addition, he has performed with the University of Houston’s Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra & Chorus, and the men’s choir.
As an educator, he has worked with a number of schools from the Houston area including Crosby HS (Crosby, TX), Elkins HS (Missouri City, TX), Friendswood HS (Friendswood, TX), and Kempner HS (Sugar Land, TX). Ben is currently on staff with the University of Houston’s “Spirit of Houston” Marching Band.
The 2020 season marks Ben’s first year on staff at The Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps.
His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
